We are Raising 7000$
To Support the Next Generation of Agroecologists in Palestine
CSA Agroecology Internship, Om Sleiman Farm. 2025.
This winter and despite the difficult circumstances, Om Sleiman Farm is launching the second edition of its CSA Agroecology Internship, a hands-on training program that will provide three Palestinians with fully funded scholarships to learn agroecology through both theory and daily practice at the farm and in nearby projects.
Over 9 weeks during October and November, participants will immerse themselves in every aspect of running a small-scale agroecological farm. They will learn directly from the Om Sleiman team alongside experienced farmers and practitioners from Palestine and abroad.
The internship is designed for Palestinians who want to deepen their understanding of agroecology, gain practical farming skills, and explore farming as a long-term livelihood. It also serves as a pathway for future team members to join Om Sleiman Farm and strengthen the growing agroecology movement in Palestine.

Why This Matters?
For generations, Palestinians relied on their land and the agricultural seasons to feed their communities. Farming was not only a source of food but also a way of life, with knowledge passed from one generation to the next.
Today, military colonial occupation—including land confiscation, restricted access to water and resources, and ongoing violence against farmers—has made farming increasingly difficult. As the farming community shrinks, valuable agricultural knowledge is at risk of being lost.
At the same time, there are almost no opportunities in Palestine for young people to receive, whether paid or unpaid, hands-on training in agroecology. This internship helps bridge that gap by preserving knowledge, training a new generation of farmers, and strengthening Palestine's food sovereignty.
Your support will fund three full scholarships, covering accommodation, meals, transportation, training, and a modest stipend so participants can fully dedicate themselves to learning.

What Participants Will Experience
Interns will work alongside the farm team four days a week, gaining hands-on experience in the daily realities of running a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. Each week, they will also participate in theoretical workshops and visit other farms and community projects to exchange knowledge and learn from diverse agroecological practices.
Throughout the internship, participants will learn about:
Seed saving and the different type of seeds
Crop planning and seasonal production
Composting and soil health
Natural fertilizers and ecological pest management
Plant propagation and cultivation
Tree care and food forest design
Harvesting and post-harvest handling
Farm planning and management
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
And many other topics related to agroecology and small-scale regenerative farming.
By supporting this program, you are not only investing in three aspiring farmers—you are helping build the skills, knowledge, and community needed to strengthen food sovereignty and agroecology in Palestine for years to come.
